　　美丽女孩松下羽月（户田惠梨香 饰）是在某文具公司入职才满一年的职场新人，工作虽然紧张忙碌，但是做着一份自己喜欢的工作总归还有一份期待在里面，当然她的牢骚不满也与日俱增。羽月正在交往的男朋友高野悟（平冈佑太 饰）是大学二年级时候确立关系的同学，然而因为留级的关系高野还在大学混日子。社会身份截然不同让他们渐行渐远，彼此的心理上也进入了如同远距离恋爱般的倦怠期。在此期间，羽月偶然邂逅了某知名出版社的编辑安田健介（黄川田将也 饰）。和高野迥异的谈吐与气质让羽月渐渐对其产生了好感。

　　故事发生在1930年的英国，于伊顿贵族学校就读的盖伊·班尼特（鲁伯特·艾弗雷特 Rupert Everett 饰）是个同性恋者，他的好友贾德（柯林·菲尔斯 Colin Firth 饰）是名共产主义者，对资本主义深恶痛绝，对学校规章制度更是不屑一顾。学校里的同性恋风气蔓延，一名叫马提诺的学生与另一名男同学发生关系时被发现，随后马提诺上吊自杀。此事给盖伊以及整个学院都造成了不小的影响。

　　本片原为轰动英伦的舞台剧，取材自三十年代的真人真事。主角盖伊·班尼特的原型为“剑桥五杰”之一盖伊·伯吉斯。
