　　本剧集并非《犯罪现场CSI》，香港将这两套剧集分别译为《灭罪鉴证科》(CSI)和《鉴证行动组》(CSI Miami)，后者是继《CSI犯罪现场》影集走红后，延伸其故事背景但主角、场景推陈出新并有别于《CSI犯罪现场》的影集，由大卫卡鲁素、艾蜜莉普克特、亚当罗德立克、罗瑞考克兰主演。本剧自从在美国三大电视网之一的哥伦比亚（CBS）播出以来，就赢得高收视率及良好口碑的评价，并且还下创收视新高，成为过去八年中所有无线电视台影集中收视率最高淖髌贰Ｓ斜鹩凇禖SI犯罪现场》的主要场景城市--拉斯维加斯，本剧集场景发生在佛罗里达州的迈阿密，以当地办案人员为故事主轴，描写他们是如何地透过高科技的辅助，以及巨细靡遗的传统办案手法，破解一个又一个待解的刑案。

　　2013年5月1日，HBO宣布续订Veep第三季共10集，将于2014年播出。

　　Steve McGarrett侦探（Alex O'Loughlin扮演）曾经是一位获得过荣誉勋章的海军军官，退役后当上了警察。为了调查父亲的谋杀案，他返回了家乡瓦胡岛（夏威夷群岛的主岛）。夏威夷州长认为Steve是个难得的人才，执意挽留他在岛上工作。她想让Steve组建一支专门负责调查重案的精英团队－－规矩由他来定，她在幕后提供支援。这支命名为「Five-0」（50）的团队不走过场，不玩花样，只要能抓住岛上最大的匪帮首领，他们就算是把天弄塌了也没事。

　　Overseeing the residents is the no-nonsense Chief Resident, Miranda Bailey. Facing marital troubles and the difficulty of balancing her work and personal life, Bailey has handed her responsibilities as head of the free clinic over to Izzie. Also striving for balance is Chief of Surgery, Richard Webber, who has reunited with his estranged wife, Adele.
　　The doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital deal with life-or-death consequences on a daily basis - it's in one another that they find comfort, friendship and love. 　　Eminent Boston Psychiatrist, Frasier Crane, last seen gracing the bars of Cheers has left his life there to start afresh in Seattle. He now has a spot as a popular radio Psychiatrist, giving him the chance to spread words of wit and wisdom to the masses. He shares his apartment with his retired cop father, Martin, and his father's physical care assistant, Daphne Moon. Add in brother Niles, Eddie the dog, some bizarre situations and plenty of humour and you've got all the ingredients for an excellent show and worthy successor to Cheers.
