　　在位于郊外的华丽别墅内，人过中年的整形医生罗伯特·雷德加（安东尼奥·班德拉斯 Antonio Banderas 饰）和忠心老仆人玛丽莉娅（Marisa Paredes 饰）居住于此。在过去的十二年里，他先后失去了妻子盖儿和女儿诺玛（Ana Mena 饰），一桩桩人间惨剧彻底颠覆了罗伯特看似完美的生活，同时也将他的事业与研究推向了完全未知的领域。在别墅的某个神秘房间内，居住着一个美丽且与世隔绝的女子，她叫薇拉（埃琳娜·安纳亚 Elena Anaya 饰），既是罗伯特的病人，又是他的实验对象，二人有着纷繁错乱的渊源。她经罗伯特之手精心塑造出来的容颜，将彼此紧紧缠绕在了一起……

　　811 AD, a family, isolated in their home, deep in the woods a few days travel from Birka. They are poor. The hunting and fishing has been bad for some time, and the father, Joar, takes the desperate measure of going on a Viking raid. Joar does not return for a long time, and the family starts to fear he never will. Runa, the oldest daughter, takes over her fathers chores in his absence. She misses him dearly and nourishes a tender hope that he, once again, will return to them. But in her heart, somehow she knows, that the suffering of the family has just begun. There is something in the air, something in the water, the wind and in the soil. Runa is becoming aware of something vile, something dangerous out in the forest. One day when she is out hunting, she finds a bleeding man, a warrior, almost unconscious. She brings him inside and the family tend to his wounds. As he heals, she realizes he is sent to protect the family from an approaching evil. And he brings news of her father.

　　In this sci-fi chiller, a young woman's peace is shattered when she begins hearing loud screams in her head. They are the agonized wailings of an astronaut deliberately marooned upon the moon by a double-crossing experimenter. Soon the woman becomes possessed by the astronaut.

　　Hospital physician June Lowe and successful author Rick Lowe have a seemingly perfect marriage, the one sticking point between them being the issue of children. Rick wants June to give up her career so that they can start a family, and while June is not averse to the notion of children, not only does she not want to give up her career but expand into writing herself, she not understanding why Rick couldn't/shouldn't be the primary caregiver anyway in already working from home. In the process, June feels like Rick totally dismisses her feelings. When Rick receives a blackmail letter for something he totally denies as truth, June gets implicated in a double homicide. June quickly realizes that Rick is trying to frame her, he the actual murderer. As June needs to evade both Rick and the police and has no one to confide in, including her generally loving sister Maggie Porter who believes the accusations of she being a murderer, June not only has to discover why Rick killed the two victims but why he is trying to frame her. When she believes she's discovered what's going on, June enters a dangerous cat and mouse game with Rick, it not always clear who is the cat and who is the mouse.—Huggo

She starts to feel suffocated and loses trust in the people around her as the desire to leave and obtain a better life for herself and daughter becomes more perilous.
