　　一位失业的广告主管开始跟踪他以前房屋的新房客，而他的家庭动机变得险恶。

　　Haylee, a local EMT suffering from PTSD, spends her days making split second decisions with lives that hang in the balance. One night on a routine call, she is faced with a moral decision, taking matters into her own hands and mercy kills a young woman. Her decision opens a pandora's box that leads Haylee to blur the lines of her job responsibilities and wanting to help those in need. Now, falling deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole, she gets caught up in a world of underground drugs and a sadistic killer who's made her his next victim.

　　8月4日1时，盛岗市郊外，日本自卫队的巡逻车被烧毁。8月15日10时30分，鹿儿岛，陆军自卫队察务部长江见为一郎非常惊讶地在危险分子名单上看到了女婿藤崎显正的名字。他来到女儿杏子家，杏子告诉她藤崎正忙于搞运输。18时30分，博多火车站，商报记者石森看到了杏子，曾有恋情的二人登上了“樱花”号特别快车。同一天，东京首相官邸，首相佐林召开紧急会议讨论可能发生军事政变的情况。20时15分，下关车站，石森、杏子二人被带到一号车厢，藤崎也在，杏子有些不安。21时，东京，政变的幕后策划者大畑及陆军自卫队将军真野被内阁情报室查明。江见逮捕了真野，并在其轿车中发现了以“没有皇帝的八月”为代号的政变计划，首相佐林命令先发制人。21时50分，藤崎在“樱花”号各车厢放置炸弹，威胁政府交出大畑。载着三百六十人的“樱花”号仿佛一颗伪装而成的炸弹在漆黑的夜晚向东京飞奔而去……

　　小女儿意外身亡，马克·休斯（祖舒华·克洛斯 Joshua Close 饰）带着妻子玛丽（塞尔玛·布莱尔 Selma Blair 饰）、儿子布兰登（奎恩·罗德 Quinn Lord 饰）驱车来到位于偏远山间的私宅，试图让短暂的假期弥合心头的伤口。不过他们的宁静很快被邻居萨卡斯基一家打破。相对于依然沉浸在悲伤中且有些疏离冷漠的休斯夫妇，萨卡斯基家的男主人鲍比（詹姆斯·达西 James D’Arcy 饰）和妻子珍（蕾切尔·敏纳 Rachel Miner 饰）显得有些过分热情，他们主动要求登门拜访，期间问东问西，令气氛诡异紧张。直到布兰登和鲍比的儿子杰瑞（阿莱克斯·费瑞斯 Alex Ferris 饰）发生冲突，别扭的家庭聚会戛然中止，不欢而散。
　　然而对于休斯一家来说，真正的噩梦才刚刚开始……

　　姚七星（方中信 饰）和抽水强（森美 饰）被指派对付绑匪杀人王，经过一番激烈的枪战，杀人王重伤不治。临死前，愤怒的杀人王放出话来，说做鬼也不会放过姚七星。姚七星的血液里流淌着特殊的基因，身为家中老七，他竟然得到了能够看到鬼魂的阴阳眼。
　　一次偶然中，姚七星看到了被杀人王所害的好友，好友告诉姚七星，杀人王将会在头七之日从阴曹地府回来找他报仇，这让姚七星感到十分害怕。上司Madam徐（梁敏仪 饰）派遣姚七星和抽水强前往七号差馆处理文件，在那里，姚七星遇见了灵异顾问喃呒炳（元华 饰），这位经验丰富的顾问成为了姚七星最后一根救命稻草。

　　Sir Charles Baskerville dies at the entrance of his manor, and Doctor Mortimer says he died of natural causes. However, when telling Sherlock Holmes of the case, he feels Sir Charles' death was a result of a centuries old curse that runs in the Baskerville family, which Dr. Mortimer feels will strike at Sir Charles nephew, Sir Henry, who is arriving to claim the Baskerville estate. Holmes sends Dr. Watson in his place, along with Dr. Mortimer and Sir Henry, to the manor and for Watson to keep an eye out for any suspicious actions. Immediately after arriving, Watson notices the queer occurrences at the estate and surrounding moors, and sends Holmes reports of what is going on concerning the life of Sir Henry. Will Holmes arrive in time to unravel the mystery, and who is responsible for Sir Charles' death and the attempted murder of Sir Henry? Is it Dr. Mortimer, neighbor Stapleton, butler Barryman, harmless old Frankland, a mysterious wild man, or is there a curse on the Baskerville family? Very good opening entry in the Rathbone-Bruce Holmes series (even though this film lacks qualities of any ongoing entries.) The film could have been a bit more darker and foreboding (the film does have a movie studio set feel) and have an ending with a little more confrontation to it, but it does provide for much fun. The romantic scenes with Greene and Barrie have little spark, but there are very good red herring performances by the cast, which is a plus for this movie. Rating, 8.
