　　四个残破不堪的灵魂遇上彼此，在亲密接触下尝试给出自己的真心。

　　由于某种原因想要变得擅长唱歌的黑社会成员成田狂儿（绫野刚 饰）邀请担任合唱部部长的中学生冈聪实去卡拉OK指导他唱歌。聪实虽然讨厌狂儿，但还是进行了歌唱指导，在这过程中两人产生了奇妙的友情。合唱部部长冈聪实由试镜选拔而出的斋藤润饰演。

　　在宇都宫市的城郊结合处，农村青年和田满夫（永島敏行 饰）和家人生活于此。随着城市化的推进，居住在农村的人们对都市的繁华充满憧憬，早已抛却旧有的质朴。满夫的父亲（ケーシー高峰 饰）离家出走，与一酒女长期厮混；兄长哲夫（森本レオ 饰）远赴东京，过起了白领的时尚生活。满夫则固守乡土，耕种着祖祖辈辈赖以生存的土地。平日里靠种植大棚西红柿营生，日子平淡倒也殷实。所谓儿女是父母的挂念，老母亲开始为老儿子张罗婚事，在加油站工作的花村绫子（石田えり 饰）便这样走入满夫的视线。不久，父亲为帮老友竞选回归家庭，满夫和绫子、好友、酒女间也纠葛不断，平淡的生活骤起波澜……
　　本片根据立松和平的同名小说改编，并荣获1981年电影旬报十佳影片第二名。

　　机械师弗兰克（杰克·尼克尔森 Jack Nicholson 饰）身无分文，被洛城附近小镇上的一位希腊店主尼克收留，尼克年轻的妻子科拉（Jessica Lange 饰）引起弗兰克的强烈兴趣，科拉亦对酗酒的希腊佬心生厌倦，两人很快趁尼克进城时发生了关系，并决定私奔，但弗兰克的好赌成性迫使计划改变，科拉本欲杀死醉酒的尼克但只是将其重伤，尼克出院后科拉与弗兰克又生一计并终于得手。保险公司因不愿赔偿尼克的意外身亡险遂组织人手证明科拉与弗兰克有罪，幸有律师巧借不同保险公司间的厉害冲突使二人得以脱罪。弗兰克与科拉虽在狱中互相倾轧但还是走到了一起，两人接管小店后的生活平淡无奇，直到某天一名男子登门要挟他们……

He finds a kindred spirit in his sister, RAYLENE, as he sleep walks through life with addiction. It's only a matter of time until Waylon finds himself at a crossroads. He learns that he's been asking the wrong question all along. The question isn't why, rather, where do I go from here? He's then able to see that we're all wounded animals. Sometimes we die, but sometimes we live.

　　This apocalyptic parable carries within it a clear echo of the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia. This unforgiving exploration of the Czech mentality tells the tale of a troupe of wandering actors who perform a passion play in some unnamed village. Fear of some unknown danger breaks out in the village, which is cut off from the surrounding world. Stupidity, selfishness and aggressiveness then come to the surface in this society under threat. In the film's key scene, a woman is raped by the self-styled leader. Zdenuk Mahler, who would later work on Forman's examination Mozart Amadeus, worked on the script.
　　The director Evald Schorm (1929-1988) was one of the most original members of the Czech "New Wave". During the "normalization" era, Schorm spent many years unable to direct. His last film, Killing with Kindness (1988) was only made in the twilight years of Communism. During that period when he was unable to direct films, he became an outstanding stage director. He directed groundbreaking productions at the "Na zábradlí" Theater and Laterna Magika.

　　故事以两个小男孩的童年时期开始。布莱恩（布拉迪•科贝特 Brady Corbet 饰）八岁时被球队教练强奸并且从此留下了挥之不去的心理阴影，这成了他心中永远的梦靥。而另外一位男孩尼尔（约瑟夫•高登-莱维特 Joseph Gordon-Levitt 饰）八岁时被教练带回家诱奸，教练扭曲了尼尔的认知，这对尼尔的影响是从此让他沉溺于这样的同性游戏中，并且成了家乡小镇的一名同性恋男妓。此时布莱恩找到了当年和尼尔同在一个棒球队的照片，并以此为线索找到了尼尔的家。不巧此时尼尔刚好去了纽约寻找新生活。于是布莱恩通过尼尔的好朋友和尼尔保持联系。在圣诞夜的时候，两人终于相聚在当年侵犯二人的教练的住所，尼尔向他讲述了当年的真实情况......
